. . . that our potluck yesterday constituted a "perfect meal" for me.
Spending time with people I've grown to care deeply about, sharing delicious food we've prepared for each other and talking about the art you have created is about as good as it gets.
If not a perfect meal in a traditional sense, it was the perfect end to a wonderful quarter. Don't you think?
I would definitely consider it to be a perfect meal!
ReplyDeleteIt was by far the best thing I've had to eat on campus all quarter.
The potluck was definitely a perfect end to the quarter (pictures of it now decorate my blog). Thanks for offering such a wonderful, inspirational class! I loved sharing and getting to know more about everyone through their food and writing!
ReplyDeleteThe cook off would be a fitting epilogue
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Good food and good company, what could be better? And I'm with Alaina, it was definitely the best lunch I've eaten in ten weeks. Thanks for a great class!

ReplyDelete(I accidentally posted this just a few seconds ago while signed onto my friend Hagop's account, so ignore the deleted comment before this that says his name, it's really me!) It was most definitely the perfect way to end the class. I can't think of a better way to end a food and travel writing class than making a ton of delicious food for each other...and traveling all the way to Dewing so we don't get in trouble for it!
ReplyDeleteHa! Yes, we traveled, too--nice touch, Emily. I hadn't thought about how it would be such a treat for you on-campus eaters. And yes, let's not forget about the cook off. REUNION!
